ACS 1994, American Camellia Yearbook, p.61, Reg. No.2290: Originated by Marvin Jernigan, Warner Robins, Georgia, USA. A large to very large red semi-double C.sasanqua chance seedling that blooms early to mid-season. The 10 year old seedling first flowered 1984. Average flower size is 10 cm across x 3.7 cm deep with 13 petals, white anthers and filaments. Plant growth is upright, dense and vigorous with dark green leaves 6.2 cm long x 2.5 cm wide.
