Pyron, 1960. American Camellia Yearbook, p.27: A 13-15 cm across x 8 cm deep, crimson red, peony form with yellow stamens amongst upstanding petals. Originated by Dr Gilbert Fisher. Union Springs, Alabama, USA as a seedling of King Size. Reg. No.591, American Camellia Yearbook. 1962-1963. Blooms mid-season. Note SCCS, Camellia Nomenclature lists this cultivar as a synonym for King Size. Sport: Red Elephant Variegated. |
