McIlhenny Catalogue, 1945-1946, p.13: A deep, rose-pink sport of Florence Stratton, originated by McIlhenny, Jungle Gardens, Avery Island, Louisiana, USA. A very massive bloom; first 6-8 rows of petals imbricated and turned down, inner rows turned up and cupped about the centre.
