No.79A,B: Medium size, 9-11 cm across, peony form with about 4-5 outer
rows, irregularly imbricated, of innumerable small crimson to purplish
crimson petals. Blooms midseason. Leaves mid-green, ovate to broad
ovate, apices acute. Collected papers – International Symposium on
C.chrysantha, 1994, 8-11 January, pp.112-114. About 8 cm across with 40
petals and a few central stamens.Calyx brown and tomatoes, young shoots
hairy. Leaves elliptic to wide-lanceolate, green, tomentose on veins and
mid-ribs, lateral veins impressed, serrate margins. Synonym ‘Momudan’.
Originated in Fujian Province, China.
