Nuccio’s Nurseries Catalogue, 1963: Red, semi-double. American Camellia
Yearbook, 1965, p.250, Reg. No.714: (SCCS., No.63-7). A 12 year old
C.japonica seedling that first bloomed 1955; originated by the Nuccio’s
Nurseries, Altadena, California, USA. The semi-double, orange-red
flowers with yellow stamens, are 10 cm across with a form similar to
‘Donckelaeri’ (Masayoshi). Vigorous, upright growth. Blooms early to
